Firstly, allow me to give you some snap shots of what IPROM is and offers. The Institute of Product Design and Manufacturing was established in response to the rapidly growing demand from local manufacturing industry for highly competent technical middle managers with a wide understanding of product innovation and a sound knowledge of project management. Demand such as this opens door for professionals like product designers, tool designers, manufacturing managers and supply chain managers.

Geared by the purpose to meet this industrial demand, IPROM has proudly developed engineering technology degree programmes that are industry driven. Since its establishment, IPROM has enjoyed good collaboration with local industry like Proton, Miyazu, Ingress, IME just to name a few.

The Industrial Design Programme at IPROM is a blend of engineering and aesthetic aspect of a functional product design while the Product Design Programme focuses on advanced engineering analysis using tools such as CAD/CAM/CAE.

The Tool and Die Programme is targeted at training high caliber of tool designers/engineers to meet challenges in the ever increasing product complexity. Similarly the Manufacturing System Programme aims to produce good quality and creative manufacturing-oriented engineers through trainings that encompass innovative integration of machine, man and materials.

Finally, the Business Management and Supply Chain Management Programmes have been designed to resolve issues that are crucial in making competitive advantage of a company, such as management skills coupled with engineering knowledge in getting the product manufactured and delivered on schedule at low cost.
